A 6 month old puppy
I fell in love with Ziggy the moment I saw him. He was an adorable ball of fur, full of beans and had the cutest little spotty paws. When not by my side, he was flying through the air or play-wrestling with his littermate, Zara. He brought energy, joy and sunshine into every space he entered. Everyone loved him.
Ziggy was taken before he was even six months old - suddenly and unexpectedly. Losing him broke my heart in a way I could never have imagined.
However, I found quiet comfort in preparing for his burial. It was my way of honouring him, giving him the send-off he deserved and making sure he had everything he needed with him.
You may have to be a pet parent to truly understand that feeling, that deep bond and the wish to do right by them, even in 'goodbye'. I did find some peace learning about the Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial story.
So here, through Pet Memories with Ziggy & Family, we offer the same to you: a gentle, thoughtful way to remember the pets who brought sunshine into your life, and to say farewell in a way that feels special for you.
Marcia
I saw you once and knew right then,
A little soul had found his den.
With spotty paws and flying leaps,
You danced through days, you raced through sleeps.
A whirlwind tail, a playful bark,
You lit our lives, you left your mark.
With Zara close, your kindred twin,
Two hearts in sync, mischief within.
Too soon you left, our time cut short,
But oh, the joy you always brought.
The garden still recalls your run,
Each corner kissed by Ziggy's sun.
I buried you with love and grace,
Your toys beside you, your resting place.
And though you’re gone, you’re never far,
You're in the sky, the breeze, the star.
Now every tribute, every care,
Carries the love we used to share.
Ziggy, your memory softly stays,
A guiding light through tender days.
